Born in the City of Los Angeles, Ca Nigel Crockett aka Niche Pastapilli entered this realm on June 4th through his mother who used to dance on Soul Train! Yup he slid right out her belly straight to the dance floor amongst the masses as he proceeded to start wiggling haha! My wonderfully awesome mother who also turned down the US Navy to birth me has studied in the medical field for over 30yrs. While I was young, due to a disciplinary action the Law took me stripped me away from her grade school (1st grade) and placed me inside the foster system. Just to be clear the split had nothing to do with drugs being anywhere around me. I had picked up a bad habit from an older sibling and was led to believe this was normal behavior when in reality this was a big no no. A foster child who was full of life, had vision, ambition, drive and determination to be an inspirational human being on this planet! My natural parents were never married so I constantly blamed myself for my biological father not coming around. My mother married Air Force Purple Heart recipient James Colbert {Bachelor's degree from USC} taught me how to get it and keep it on my own! Music was an outlet, the concept of writing, creating sounds and harmony helped me venture through the pain and loneliness that came with being stripped away from my family. I learned how to work on computers and networks from Mr. Colbert at an early age. Although he started working on them while he was in the Air Force, this led him to receiving his college degree from USC in Business Administration. We operated a legit IT Consultant Business together in which I learned time management, organization, finance, and how to provide excellent customer service to the public or to the clients who wanted their computer systems serviced. Operating the family business has also helped keep stay up to date with the technology universe while teaching me how to be somebody and make good use of my talents. It was important to me to have a positive black male figure in my life since my biological father didn’t bother! Some of the tunes we played were Pink Floyd, Kraftwerk, Swing Out Sister, Kenny G just to name a few. When their sounds poured out the stereo, I would naturally begin to freestyle over the Jazz harmonized melodies. This was something I had to accomplish, I needed to impress my biological dad, “Big Wes" Crockett once time had permitted us to link up so he would never leave me again. Did you know "Big Wes" was a champion weightlifter at Venice Beach, CA.? Shortly after that he hired Marion "Suge" Knight as part of his security detail while he still was working for Dick Griffey, which led to the creation of the legendary “Death Row Records”. Wes also worked with 2pac, Dr. Dre Snoop, Nate Dogg, Krupt, Daz, Lady of Rage, Danny Boy, Sam Sneed including the Legendary DJ Quik. Wes Crockett also provided security for Beyonce, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa, Bob Marley, YG, Kanye West, Keyshia Cole and many more. Wes Crockett was also the individual who controlled the "Bud Wiser Fest" music events and tours! Even the legendary Master P owner of "No Limit Records" and Wes were business partners as well! Wes created a lot of jobs for the black community and received major accolades from Senators to major public figures. A few years later Wes Crockett and Al Haymon partnered up to become business partners through the world of boxing opening the door to sign “Pretty Boy Floyd” in which we know today as Floyd Mayweather aka Mayweather Promotions who stills holds the record 50 - 0 and concurrently does exhibition fights just for the love of the sport of boxing. sport. Some of the other boxing champions my dad signed to Al Haymon were Earl Spence Jr, Gervontae “Tank” Davis, Jerome “Boots” Enis, Caleb Plant, Charlo Brothers, Deontay Wilder, Adrian Broner, Anthony Dirrell and Andre Ward just to name a few out the 250+ fighters my dad signed! Got damn! No wonder why he never had time for me! Sometimes there is a higher power that intervenes to help keep special kids safe from all the creative evils in this world. Guess I’m not worth shit huh?? LOL J/K. Eventually I was able to save up to catch up to "Big Wes" which was an impossible task. But mission was completed successfully. Eventually I filed my paperwork for my own Record Label, Phenix Entertainment Enterprisez, signed myself as an artist, producer and engineer who is consistently networking, mastering, performing audio engineering, recording, Live performances, writing, troubleshooting, site building, repairing, marketing, copyrighting, promotion and producing upcoming new talent. Shortly after our reunion I knew why music attracted me naturally, spiritually, and emotionally, and how I am number one at this technology field and will just need time to perfect my craft to be come on of the elite in my field. Eventually I had kids of my own and broke the vicious cycle of abandonment, stayed working, grinding, growing, doing my best to keep my child support obligations paid while learning to fly independently. Later after a dark chapter in my life (grandmother passed away) I relocated located up North to the Bay Area in 2000. No one ever knows Gods plan! During the end of the Covid 19 Pandemic I opened up an IT Repair/ Music Creation Company called “PaulTech” so look out for us to take over the information as well.
